Hello to all and welcome to the newsletter.
If you’re on this distribution list, you probably know I spent my final year of business school getting Bluebird Analytics off the ground - a consulting firm helping early-stage tech execs find their optimal growth strategy.
Had a few clients but it was a lot of hours chasing not a lot of money. And after a couple years of grad school (receiving exactly $0 in annual income) it was hard to justify keeping it going without a cash infusion.
During the last few months I haphhazardly pivoted to a product in an effort to make Bluebird more scalable/investor friendly. Check out my janky mock-up for the investor deck:
Through Babson and my personal network, I finagled a few meetings with investors and execs asking for “advice” — hoping I would knock someone’s socks off and they’d give me some runway to play with. They did not.
However, during one of the meetings I was offered a job building and scaling a go-to-market function at a fast-growing product and services company. I looked at my bank account and decided to take it.
Since I’ve gotten over the hump of implementing the systems and processes required for the sales org to reach steady-state, I figured I’d repurpose some of the assets I bought for Bluebird (website, Medium page, etc…) to build a newsletter.
The focus of these bi-monthly articles is to document my learnings, observations and mistakes (mostly), as I build a GTM function. Whether your an investor, CXO or SDR, I hope you find value in a few of these articles.
Some articles will be first-person, and some will be just general thoughts on industry trends. Feel free to reach out with feedback, thoughts, etc… nate@bluebirdanalytics.co
